Pro Tips for the Best Hot Honey Roast Chicken
🔥 Pick the right beer: A lighter beer like a pilsner or lager works best, as it won’t overpower the flavors.
🔥 Pat the chicken dry: Keep a thick stack of paper towels next to you during prep. We learned that this was the most important step in making a dry, crisp chicken and also in keeping a clean workspace.
🔥 Use a meat thermometer: As a reminder, the chicken is done when the internal temp reaches 165°F in the thickest part of the breast.
🔥 Let it rest before slicing: This locks in all those juices for an extra tender bite.
🔥 Try wood chips for extra flavor: If you’re grilling, toss in some hickory or applewood chips for a smoky finish.
